About Us

Creativity comes iin any forms using many mediums. Fabric, vinyl, threads, wood, ceramic, glass, etc. are some of those mediums used. What is created using these mediums is up to the creator and goes only as far as his or her imagination allows.

For me, anything hand made is an art form, a language that is spoken through the creation, and each creation an original idea. All items on these pages are handmade by me, using the patterns by digitized creators. Where noted, I will pay homage to them. If an original by me, will note that also. Please also note that many items made on here were inspired by movie, tv or book characters.

KCs Creative Corner was started in New Jersey in 1983 under Kalico Crafts. Over the years it morphed into KCs Creative Corner. Both names came from a beloved Calico cat I had at the time. I have been sewing and creating since I was old enough to do so. My mother was an accomplished seamstress, my dad a talented woodworker. It is in my blood to 'make' things. As years passed, I have expanded my knowledge and experience to include all types of creativity. I have 7 machines: a long arm, 4 embroidery machines (2 are very old), a serger, a quilter, 3 sewing machines and an embarrassing supply of vinyl, fabric and notions. All used in making the items within this site.
